Fires of 1910
Monte Dolack
24" x 34"
2010
This poster was commissioned by the US Forest Service to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the devastating 1910 fires-which affected thousands of people and millions of acres, and which shaped United States Forest Service fire policy for the coming century. In the center floats a burning tree/pulaski, with the city of Wallace, Idaho, burning, fleeing animals and hard-working fire fighters in the background. The memorial at Saint Maries is in the foreground.
