As a life-long Montana resident, Monte is well-aware of the large part that wildfires play in our lives, especially in the summer. This piece demonstrates the hazards when urban areas but up against wild areas where fire is spreading-and what private citizens can do - keeping landscaping wet and trimmed down, putting out small fires and installing a metal roof.
