This poster was commissioned by the Montana History Foundation to restore and preserve the historical Ghost Town of Virginia City in southwest Montana. The image is a peek back to the rough, gruff and semi-lawless past of Montana and the West. To create the image required extensive research by Monte, he spent many hours rummaging through the archives in Virginia City.
